The primary difference between composite doors and uPVC is how they’re made and what they’re made of – uPVC is made from single-material, strong PVC plastic, finding it’s benefits in thermal efficiency and security. Alternatively, composite doors are crafted from multiple different materials, pressed and then glued together using industrial pressure conditions. The result is a thicker, durable door which outperforms it’s single-material counterpart, whilst still being easy to maintain.
uPVC doors are incredibly affordable, secure and thermal efficient – however, composite doors offer a homeowner a unique ability to enhance the visual appeal of their home whilst protecting against intruders via enhanced robustness.
Our composite doors aren’t limited to a standard white – they’re available in a variety of colours and finishes to complement any décor. They’re made-to-measure, bespoke and capable of introducing your home in style.
The colours will last a lifetime – composite doors are designed to avoid discolouring, unlike uPVC, which can discolour over time if the door is neglected. On rare occasions, the door can discolour at a different rate to the frame, which can be rather off-putting.
The range of colours we provide for our composite doors is vast, as too are the finishes we offer. If you would like a timber-grain effect, to create a traditional, elegant aesthetic, this can be achieved. This is advantageous if you’re interested in avoiding the same flat white door your neighbours have opted for!
Our composite doors will not have visible seals, ensuring the door is extra secure whilst aesthetically pleasing.
